The Power of Nonviolence in a War Zone

Through a slide presentation and discussion, Michele Naar-Obed will show how the occupation has been eroding and destabilizing Iraqi life. Michele is a member of the Loaves and Fishes Catholic Worker in Duluth, MN and has been to Iraq three times with Christian Peacemaker Teams. During her last trip, she learned of Iraqi based grassroots organizations that have committed themselves to nonviolent resistance. Please come and hear their stories of hope amidst despair.
