Penn State Creamery Ice Cream on Sale Now May 30, 2011

Peachy Paterno—plus one dozen additional flavors of Penn State’s famous Berkey Creamery ice cream—will be available for local pick up through the Penn State Behrend Alumni Society’s annual summer ice cream sale fundraiser.

Half-gallons of the treat so fresh that it “mooves” from cow to cone in four days can be ordered online with a credit card at behrend.psu.edu/creameryicecream, or by calling the Penn State Behrend Office of Development and Alumni Relations at 814-898-6159.

In addition to JoePa’s frozen tribute, the flavors available through this year’s sale are vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, bittersweet mint, butter pecan, peanut butter swirl, chocolate chip cookie dough, death by chocolate, cookies and cream, coconut chip, WPSU coffee break, and black raspberry frozen yogurt.

Half-gallons are $9 each, or $8 for orders of three or more. Orders must be placed by Monday, June 20, for pick up on Sunday, July 10. Order pick up takes place that day between noon and 4 p.m. in Bruno’s Café on the second floor of the Reed Union Building at Penn State Behrend.

Proceeds from the ice cream sale benefit the Penn State Behrend Alumni Society Scholarship at the college.
