The Concert Choir and Chamber Singers at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, will take their audience “From Broadway to Carnegie Hall” on Sunday, April 18.

The ensembles’ 4 p.m. performance will be held in the McGarvey Commons of the Reed Union Building. Tickets are $5 for general admission, $3 for Penn State Behrend faculty and staff, and free to students, and can be purchased in advance at the information desk in 27 Reed or at the door, if any remain.

In addition to singing selections from Broadway musicals, the choirs will preview a portion of Franz Joseph Haydn’s “Lord Nelson Mass.” Together with the Young People’s Chorus of Erie, the Erie Philharmonic Chorus, and the North East High School Choir, the Penn State Behrend choirs will perform the Mass in its entirety twice this spring: Once at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, at Fairview High School, 7460 McCray Road, and again on Sunday, May 23, when they sing at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

All three performances will be conducted by Dr. Jason Bishop, director of choral activities at Penn State Behrend.
