Penelope is a robotic scrub assistant with speech recognition, machine vision, and robotic arm path planning and targeting, developed by Robotic Surgical Tech, Inc., a Columbia University spin-out enterprise. Penelope is comprised of four major hardware and software components: the robotic arm, the instrument platform, the system stand, and the system control software.

Thursday at Beckett's is the debut of my brand new band, Attracted, featuring the songs of Jesse Dyen and myself, with GG Tanaka on drums! Also playing, and maybe joining us for a song or two, is the Shovelman! Come see his awesome shovel-guitar!
Beckett's is right near Berkeley BART at 2271 Shattuck Avenue.Show is free and goes from 10 to closing.Attracted will play two completely different sets with a full-length set of Shovelman in the middle.
