- Recognize common pediatric emergencies encountered in the primary care setting.
- Examine appropriate treatment and diagnostic modalities commonly untilized in the pediatric population.
- Evaluate effective communication skills regarding difficult conversations and ethical dilemmas in the pediatric population.
- Apply the current recommendations for immunizations in infants and children.
- Explain the scope and mission of the American Academy of Pediatrics and identify some of the national political pediatric issues.
