Steve Meyer, the founder of Main Street Pedicabs used to hear from people all the time “how lucky” he has been. And, he has been indeed lucky:

His pedicabs were featured during the first season of The Apprentice;
Jennifer Anniston has been seen in movies riding his pedicabs;
Google uses his company to make their famous “Street View Trike”;
Luck has a role, it is true, but there are ways to make yourself lucky. Meyer will explore these.how “luck happens.”

Meyer has also been unfairly accused of being ambitious. It’s really not true, because you would be amazed at what a bad worker he is. Anything for which he does not have a passion or interest, he cannot pursue.

He’s been fired a number of times, one boss shouting, “Meyer, what do you think this job is, a hobby?” Although these incidents seemed as setbacks at the time, they eventually proved fortuitous.

Meyer has been one of those afflicted by what is commonly known as ADD. And, although this condition indeed causes problems in life, it is also something that is a common trait among many entrepreneurs. One thing it makes one do is take stock of their strengths and weaknesses. Instead of presenting the things he has done wrong throughout the years, Meyer regularly takes stock of what he has done right – and then tries to do it more often.
