The Washington DCJCC's Hyman S. & Freda Bernstein Jewish Literary Festival presents
Peace Café Open Mic
9:00 pm; FREE
At Busboys and Poets, 2021 14th Street NW (14th and V)

What are the sounds, textures and feelings of your urban life? What would it take for there to be peace in the District, in the Middle East and beyond?

After attracting a standing-room-only crowd during the Washington Jewish Music Festival last spring, the Peace Café Open Mic is back by popular demand! The Peace Café, Literary Festival and EntryPointDC GesherCity invite you to an evening of poetry, music, spoken word and diverse artistic expression. The night’s focus is the quest for peace. The first half of the evening features headlining artists, and the second half is your turn at the open mic. Whether you rap to the ukele, recite the poetry of Yehudah Amichai or just like to listen, this night is for you. Watch for more upcoming open mic events over the course of the year.

Co-sponsored by the Peace Café
Presented in cooperation with the J’s EntryPointDC GesherCity. EntryPointDC GesherCity is supported, in part, by a grant from the Howard and Geraldine Polinger Family Foundation. This program is supported by the Ruth Behrend & Charles Haskell Small Fund.
