PCC Reads - Author Heidi Durrow to speak at PCC Rock Creek April 13 April 13, 2011

On Wednesday, April 13 at 1:30pm, acclaimed author Heidi Durrow will speak at PCC Rock Creek Campus (17705 NW Springville Rd, Portland, 97229) in the Rock Creek Event Center (building 9, room 122).

Durrow's book, The Girl Who Fell From The Sky is set in North Portland and gives a haunting account of a biracial girl struggling to blossom amidst alcoholism and mental illness while dealing with a traumatic event in her own life. Durrow herself was raised in North Portland, the daughter of an African American father and Danish mother.

This event is part of the PCC Reads campaign and is free and open to the public. Parking is $3.
