Paws and Claus December 6, 2008

Meet jolly old St. Nick in Flamingo Plaza at Oakland Zoo. Kids can share their wish lists for the holidays and have pictures taken with Santa Claus! Your donation of $5 per photo is requested to benefit Oakland Zoo’s animal residents. Please don’t worry about rain, we will move Santa inside! A variety of family-friendly entertainment is planned each day. See festive animal feedings, learn what types of holiday treats the animals enjoy, and listen to live performances by The Oakland Symphony Chorus, The Salvation Army Band, and The Good Ol’ Blue Grass Boys. You’ll also have the rare opportunity to get up close and personal with a zoo animal! PG&E will be on hand to share energy efficient ways to celebrate the season. Plus, the Alameda County Community Food Bank will be collecting non-perishable food items to benefit the needy, so please bring canned food donations.
