American Opera Projects presents a concert reading of scenes from two new operas. Based on Willa Cather’s short story, Paul's Case chronicles the dissolution of a turn-of-the-century high school dandy whose passive rebellion upsets the status quo of all those around him. In Sharon's Grave, a dark comedy based on the play by Irish writer John B. Keane, family members scheme to inherit the land of a dying patriarch against a backdrop of Irish folklore and legend. Approximate running time: 60 minutes
