Perhaps the greatest living choreographer, Paul Taylor is an iconic figure in modern dance. His sixteen-member company, founded in 1954, serves as a beacon of American creativity to the world. Taylor’s rare affinity for music has led him to set his more than 120 dances to everything from Tin Pan Alley and tango to reggae and Ragtime, and found particularly cooperative collaborators in J.S. Bach, G. F. Handel and their Baroque brethren. The New York Times hails Paul Taylor as “One of the most exciting, innovative, and delightful dance companies in the entire world!”
