An Emmy and Peabody Award winning comedian from “The Daily Show.” Paul Mecurio created and stars in the new HBO web series, “Got No Game with Paul Mecurio.” Paul’s audience-interactive, observational comedy has made him a headliner at comedy clubs across North America and the star of his own “Comedy Central Presents” special. Paul has made over two dozen national television appearances including CBS’s “The Late Late Show,” NBC’s “Conan O’Brien,” Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” Fox’s “Red Eye,” as well as on NBC, CBS, ABC, Comedy Central and VH-1 and is a political satirist on CNN, MSNBC and Fox News. Paul has created and starred in several television pilots including a sports comedy show called “Sports Central” that takes a comedic look at the off the field antics in the word of sports. Paul stars in a new film to be released in late 2010 entitled, “High Art, Low Life,” a comedy in which he plays Stuart, a hard-charging executive with a past that is catching up to him.
Paul’s essay “Consumer Man,” in which he chronicles the frustration of being a consumer, was published in “The New York Times Sunday Magazine.” He is heard by millions of listeners nationwide in his recurring segment, “The Image Makeover Guy” on the nationally syndicated morning radio show, “The Bob & Tom Show.” Paul recently released a compilation of his makeover segments entitled, “Paul Mecurio: Image Makeovers” which is available on iTunes and at www.paulmecurio.com
Paul graduated Georgetown Law School with high honors and left a career as a Wall Street lawyer and investment banker executing multi-billion dollar merger and acquisition deals to pursue stand-up and became a founding writer/performer on "The Daily Show" for which he has won Emmy and Peabody Awards.
