Many people will remember Patti LuPone as the character Libby Thatcher on the television series "Life Goes On." She's also had a very extensive Broadway theatre career, starring in many roles for musicals that would accentuate her striking voice. In fact, in 1980 she received the Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for her role in "Evita."

Patti LuPone's voice has been on display for Broadway ticket buyers for many years, but now, but now she is focusing more of her energy into her recordings and tours. In 2006 she released a CD of one of her shows, "The Lady With the Torch," which was successful and gained her a bigger audience as well as more widespread appeal as a singer.
