Patriot run November 12, 2011

East Carolina University’s Army ROTC “Pirate Battalion” is hosting the 4th Annual Patriot Run on Saturday, November 12th, 2011. This year’s run is again being hosted by the Brook Valley Country Club. The run starts and finishes at the Brook Valley Country Club clubhouse in Greenville, North Carolina and features 5 mile and 1 mile courses that wind around the picturesque Brook Valley golf course and through the scenic Brook Valley subdivision.

In the first three years of this race, we have attracted over 600 runners and, through the generous support of several local sponsors, raised over $23,000 for Ft. Bragg charities that assist both Wounded Warriors and their families. All proceeds this year will be split between Ft. Bragg’s Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) and ECU’s “Captain David ‘Jp’ Thompson Memorial Scholarship Fund.” The SOS helps to ensure that the surviving wives, husbands, parents, and children who are left behind when their loved one is killed in action are not forgotten.
