Pat Metheny began as a jazz musician in 1974 where he first began his trademark playing style, which blends the loose and flexible articulation of a horn player with sensible harmonies as in traditional jazz. After two consecutive, yet wildly different, solo recordings ('Orchestrion' and 2011's Grammy-winning 'What's It All About'), the esteemed guitarist returns with a new quartet, Unity Band, featuring Chris Potter, Antonio Sanchez and Ben Williams.
