Theography was first defined by a fellow Dance Minister as "the study of God through dance.
Where dancers do not just dance to gospel music. They study God's Word and praise and
worship Him, using movement/choreography as a tool to illustrate the gospel."
Our special
guests are the Anointed Dance Ministries whose members are from Cleveland,
Columbus and Dayton. They are known throughout the state of Ohio as a
group with a heart for God. In addition we are honored to have Gabriel's Horns, a jazz and gospel enemble under the direction of Maestro James May.

Organized by Antioch Praise in Motion Dance Ministry
The Dancer believes that their art has something to say which cannot be
expressed in words or in any other way than by dancing. There are times
when the simple dignity of movement can fulfill the function of a
volume of words. There are movements which impinge upon the nerves with
a strength that is incomparable, for movement has power to stir the
senses and emotions, unique in itself. This is the dancers
justification for being, and his reason for searching further for
deeper aspects of his art. Doris Humphrey 1937 Antioch Praise
in Motion Dance Ministry was established in 2000 under the spiritual
covering of the Rev. Dr. Marvin A. McMickle with the express purpose of
preparing the way for the WORD to be preached. Our mission is to honor
and worship God by encouraging, teaching, ministering and witnessing
through the use of creative movement and dance. Sacred dance is the
Holy Spirit within manifested in observable motion. It is the spirit in
motion. It is praise in motion. Every gesture, expression, and action
says something about the dancers relationship with God. It interprets
scripture, illustrates a theme, communicates a feeling and brings the
Holy Spirit into motion. As a ministry, we are called to
praise the Lord with dance. It is our goal to exalt the Lord through
our Christian witness.
Antioch Praise in Motion Dance Ministry
embraces the privilege of leading the people of God into His
transforming presence. Our dances are ministered as an outpouring of
our personal and intimate relationship with the Lord. Our dance should
lead God's people in worship. Our dance should bring liberation to the
people of God and to ourselves.
