Passion Fruit Festival 5.0: An Urban Erotic Festival of Poetry, Music & Performance February 13, 2009

It's the ultimate erotic poetry event of the season. A multi-day event that embraces love and sensuality over the upcoming Valentine's Day season. Bring your honey, tell a friend, or just bring your sensual self to the Motor City's favorite erotic poetry event.

FRIDAY: THE SLAM @ 9:00 p.m.
EchoVerse Poetry will host its annual Passion Fruit Slam and an erotic open mic for all patrons and poets. The erotic slam champion will receive a $200.00 cash prize, an encore performance during the Sunday show, and the coveted title of 2009 Passion Fruit Slam Champion. SATURDAY: THE SHOW @ 9:00 p.m.
An erotic "All Kinds of Poetry" Open Mic with special showcase performances by showcase the talents of Sandbloom (LA), JyObadele (EchoVerse), SoundCircle Collective (EchoVerse), Berhenda (Poetry, Pages & Scribes), Exerdance (Detroit) and more.

SUNDAY: THE ENCORE @ 6:30 p.m.
It's the last chance to poetically swoon your honey during the festival. Featuring encore performances by the top three Passion Fruit slam poets. An erotic "All Kinds of Poetry" Open Mic and more showcase performances.

GROWN FOLK SHOW ALERT!!! This is a 21+ show. Strong language and visuals not appropriate for children. None smoking venue. Video taping will take place.

EROTIC SLAM POETS: Participants limited to a maximum of ten. Pre-registration required - "First Come First Served" policy in effect. Poets should prepare for three rounds and a possible tie-breaker.

Poets also recieve slam points to participate in the EchoVerse SlamMadness Semi-Finals and Final Stage competition to determine our 2009 Detroit Slam Team in April.
