Parties In The Park In Downtown Clayton May 11, 2011

With last month’s exciting news that Parties in the Park would move from Shaw Park to Meramec Avenue in downtown Clayton, the Clayton Chamber of Commerce continues to unveil plans for an unforgettable 2011 season. Wells Fargo Advisors has been confirmed as the presenting sponsor, and the entertainment lineup is sure to keep party-goers moving and grooving all summer long.
The season kicks off May 11 at 5 p.m. and goes to 8:30 p.m. (a half hour longer than years past) and continues on the second Wednesday of the month through September. This year’s music lineup includes:
• May 11 – Paint the Earth
• June 8 – DJ Steve Meier
• July 13 – Griffin & the Gargoyles
• August 10 – Vote 4 Pedro
• September 14 – FatPocket
Located on Meramec between Forsyth Boulevard and Maryland Avenue, Parties in the Park in Downtown Clayton will be THE place to be after work this summer. As always, admission is free and open to the public. A special lineup of food vendors, including Domino’s Pizza, is rapidly taking shape and will soon be announced. And the best drink special in town is still from 5 to 5:30 p.m., with half-priced beer.
Whether looking to mingle with friends and colleagues, meet new people or just relax after a hard day’s work with an ice-cold beer, you won’t want to miss the 28th season of Parties in the Park in Downtown Clayton.
