Parodos is an experiment in the very roots of theatre and performance. Using one of the oldest texts in Western theatre, Agamemnon by Aeschylus, an group of students will spend three weeks examining the ritual and physical essence of the Ancient Greek Chorus through ensemble sound and movement. The experiment will culminate in an outdoor performance where the ritual song and dance of the Greek Chorus will be brought to life. A discussion will follow.
