One of the most hotly anticipated events of the year will see Californian tuntablist DJ Shadow unleash his live show on Gateshead Quays, headlining a to-die-for bill which also includes Shadow's legendary 'Brainfreeze' collaborator Cut Chemist. A rare visitor to the UK, this will be one of just four dates Shadow plays to promote his new album. A hugely significant artist, Shadow was pioneering in the development of experimental instrumental hip-hop in the early ‘90s. His genre-bending works blend darkly cinematic elements of funk, rock, hip-hop, ambient, jazz and soul.
An all-day event from 2pm to 11pm, look out for details of the full bill for one of the hottest events of the summer.
