Parents, Teach Your Babies to Swim! August 22, 2009

Your baby can start swimming lessons as early as 6 months old! UNM Continuing Education is offering classes on Parent/Child Swimming Lessons (ages 6mo. - 3yrs.). Classes start August 22, 2009 and run throuth September 19, 2009 from 8am-8:30am. For $90 you will learn techniques for teaching your child through demonstration, repetition, and praise. This course promotes water safety knowledge and practices, aquatic adjustment and swimming readiness skills, participation, socialization, and fun and enjoyment in the water. Enrollment is limited to 10 parent/child teams. Special Requirements: Parents must furnish a written clearance from the child’s physician and provide their own suits and towels. Students must purchase a parking permit if parking on main campus. Please contact Parking Services at 277-1938.
