Celebration of 80th Anniversary Brings Willy Wonka to Kankakee!

Join the goblins, witches, vampires and ghosts who venture out this year to celebrate Halloween and enjoy a screening of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (G). To continue the celebration of the Paramount’s 80th Anniversary, this year’s Halloween event will feature Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory for just $1 on Sunday, October 30th at noon, co-sponsored by Star Radio. There will also be a fun costume contest before the movie with prizes, so come in your best Halloween attire! The Paramount Theatre is located at 213 N. Schuyler Ave. in Kankakee, IL.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is celebrating it’s 40th anniversary: This 1971 musical is a film adaptation of the 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl, directed by Mel Stuart, and starring Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka. The film tells the story of Charlie Bucket as he receives a golden ticket and visits Willy Wonka's chocolate factory with four other children from around the world
