Paradise Lost and Found in Jerusalem - A Fusion of East & West. The Embassy of Israel and Alliance Franaise de Delhi present a musical recital Paradise Lost and Found in Jerusalem a fusion of east and west. A unique cultural and musical journey.The programme 'Paradise Lost and Found in Jerusalem' brings various musical pieces whose intimate but joyous presentation invites the listeners to a journey towards the lost paradise. The programme consists of pieces by Jewish composers from Italy in the 14th century to Israel in the 20th century, Medieval lively dances which celebrate the getting together and the mingling of the three monotheistic religions in Spain ("the three fountains"), a Jewish lullaby from the golden age ('Nani nani') and Baroque chamber music (by Bach and Telemann). The sound of the wooden Recorders together with the rhythm of the percussions creates music that offers a bridge between western and eastern cultures a bridge of universal harmony.
