PAPERCUTS
Rare London show from the San Francisco-based psych-poppers formed by Jason Quever. Their third album ‘You Can Have What You Want’ is out now on Memphis Industries (following two releases on Devendra Banhart’s Gnomonsong label) and mixes The Zombies, Grandaddy and countless paisley underground and Creation Records bands of the late-’80s with Quever’s reverb-drenched vocals and driving rhythms that are half Ringo Starr, half Jaki Liebezeit of Can.

IT HUGS BACK
The acclaimed Kent-based four-piece began making soft-centred dreampop back in 2006. They melt layers of fuzzy vocals and guitars into their blend of shoegaze and heart-on-sleeve vulnerability, like a cross between Stereolab and Yo La Tengo. After a series of well-received singles, they signed to the legendary 4AD label and tonight they will be celebrating the release of their debut album, ‘Inside Your Guitar’.

TRAILER TRASH TRACYS
One of the first ever shows by this new band. We don’t know much about them, other than the tracks we’ve heard on their MySpace (in particular the amazing ‘Candy Girl’) are a brilliant mix of Jesus And Mary Chain-style white noise and indie-pop melody.
