Paper, Knife and Board: Fifty Years of Woodcuts March 7, 2007

This exhibition displays the extensive body of work by Ilse Buscherst Nesbitt over the last five decades. She has used a 19th century hand press and a simple knife to carve blocks of wood. From illustrated collections of poetry and medieval-looking block-books, to compelling landscapes and delicate images of plants, her daunting work is all about detail.
