Dr. Michael Legaspi is an assistant professor in the Theology Department at Creighton University (Omaha, Nebraska), where he teaches courses on the Old Testament and the history of biblical interpretation. A native of Pennsylvania, Dr. Legaspi came to Creighton in 2006 after earning a Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible from Harvard University. At Harvard, Dr. Legaspi studied ancient history and languages, early modern intellectual history, and critical biblical scholarship. In 2004, he and his family (wife Abby; sons Josiah, 12, and Cato, 6; daughters Olivia, 11, and Ana, 8) were chrismated and received into the Holy Orthodox Church. Dr. Legaspi and his family are members of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Omaha.

Dr. Nicolae Roddy is Associate Professor of Theology at Creighton University, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Hebrew Bible / Old[er] Testament. Dr. Roddy earned his Master of Arts in Theology from St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary (1989), where he studied under the academic and spiritual direction of Fr John Meyendorff (memory eternal) and
Fr Paul Nadim Tarazi. Dr. Roddy earned his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa (1999) in the area of Judaism and Christianity in the Greco-Roman World, under the direction of George Nickelsburg.
For over a decade Dr. Roddy has been serving as co-director for both the Consortium of the Bethsaida Excavations Project and the Virtual World Project (www.virtualworldproject.org). He is past President of the Rocky Mountain/Great Plains Region of the AAR/SBL and serves on the steering committee of the Religious Experience in Early Judaism and Early Christianity and the Biblical Studies in the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Traditions sections of SBL. Dr. Roddy is also a Senior Editor for the new Journal of the Orthodox Center for the Advancement of Biblical Studies (JOCABS, available at www.ocabs.org/journal). Dr. Roody is of Romanian Orthodox heritage. He and his family (wife Michelle and children Aurelia (17), Elijah (14), Alexandru (5), and Anika (2) are active members of St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Omaha, NE.
