Pampered Book Club July 19, 2010

The Pampered Book Club is all about books and pampering ourselves. Why not? We deserve it!

Join us this time for the book, "Post Scripts: A Writing Life After 80". This is not just for those who are older, but serves as an inspiration to those of us with a story inside.

The author, LaVerne Hammond, began writing a monthly column about her memories and reflections on aging for the St. Petersburg Times Seniority section when she was 86 and wrote them until her death at age 92. Funny, poignant and inspiring, "Post Scripts" is a collection of those columns. Her book and personal story gives hope to aspiring writers of all ages.

Her daughter, Margo Hammond, the former book editor at the St. Petersburg Times will be present to speak about remembering her mother's inspiration and how we can all write our own story.

This Pampered Book Club includes the book along with the services of Spa Olimpia located in the Hilton in downtown St. Petersburg. You will receive a a mini manicure and foot bath. Wine and appetizers to be provided.
