Paintings: Thangka Exhibition April 3, 2009

Presenting an exclusive exhibition of ancient Thangka paintings. The exhibition serves a rare opportunity to see some of the finest reproductions of ancient Thangkas on beautiful canvas from remote temples of Spiti, set in a photographic display of landscapes of the region. Inauguration by Rev TK Lochen Tulku Rinpoche, the 19th reincarnation of Rinchen Zangpo, the Great Translator of Buddhist text from Sanskrit to Tibetan in the 10-11th Century and a spiritual director of Key Gompa, the largest Buddhist monastery in Spiti.
