Paid Maternity Leave Breakfast on 27 May, 7.30am till 9am at the National Museum of Australia, Canberra.
The breakfast will mark the final week of submissions to the Productivity Commission’s Paid Parental Leave Inquiry.
For thousands of Australians and their families, the Rudd Government’s decision to hold a formal inquiry represents an important, overdue and very welcome step forward in the debate on paid parental leave, in particular 14 weeks for all women.
We are now at the point where a positive outcome may finally be within reach, however, there is still some way to go and your support at the Paid Maternity Leave Breakfast would be much appreciated.
The breakfast will also honour the individuals and organizations whose work and enormous effort have advanced the rights of working women and their families over many decades.
