Paddle Round the Pier Beach Festival July 7, 2007

We seem to have grown four-fold since the tremendous success of last years event and the fun has spilled over into a complete weekend of activities for everyone to get involved in. We raise money for the RNLI, The Rockinghorse Appeal and SurfAid International.

The new layout of the paddle-village lends itself to grabbing yourself a bargain from one of the many stalls in the retail village or finding that new “toy” within the extensive exhibition areas. Then there’s a whole lot more space to relax with friends on the grass area and listen to the numerous bands playing for your pleasure all day long.

A great addition to this years Paddle will be the Holiday Inn Beach Lua’u party on the Saturday evening where the semi final of the Bikini contest takes place. With live music, DJ’s Hawaiian Island décor, films and a huge BBQ spit roast on offer – it stands to be a night to remember and don’t forget as with all the weekends activities, all moneys raised go towards the charities.

If you’re new to the Paddle this year then all you need to do is register online to get your sponsorship form. Then every £20 raised & handed in on the day gets a prize ticket, £40 = 2 tickets etc, the more you raise the better your chances With literally thousands of pounds worth of prizes, up for grabs - from surfboards, Kayaks, snowboards, wetsuits etc – both you and the charities are winners.
