Once there was a quiet parlor on a back street in Paris where an elegant old clock ticked away—Padam, Padam, it sang. That very clock belonged to Edith Piaf, and even now, transported all the way to Portland, Oregon, it still keeps beautiful time.
Come join this very international clock as it plays and sings music from contemporary America, steamy Latin America and French cabaret, with songs by Kurt Weil & Bertolt Brecht, Eddie Cantor, The Four Lads, Tom Waits, Frankie Lane, Xavier Cugart, Jacques Brel and even Ms. Piaf herself. Plus outstanding Padam Padam originals, including some brand new tunes.
Padam Padam will be appearing at TaborSpace, in the heart of Belmont on Saturday, June 12 at 7:30 PM. Enter the Bell Tower at the corner of SE 55th and Belmont for an evening of passion, humor and romance. All ages are welcome.
Padam Padam includes vocalist Lisa Berkson Platt; Barbara Bernstein on viola, Venezuelan cuatro, guitar and vocals; Kathy Fors on accordion and Jaime Leopold on bass, guitar and piano.
