Pacifika: Asuncion May 4, 2008

The Vancouver-based trio Pacifika has received critical praise for its recently released debut album Asuncion. The trio is: Silvana Kane, a Peruvian-Canadian actress and musician with a love of flamenco, electronica, and textured percussion; Adam Popowitz, a Canadian-bred guitarist adept at new wave, classical, and pop; and Toby Peter, a dub-wise bassist born in Canada and raised in Barbados. Together they form one of Canada's freshest musical exports.
