Hawaii Pacific Roller Derby is proud to host Part II of the Battle of the Islands Roller Derby Tournament which features the state’s top roller derby teams from Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. The tournament is a continuation of the first ever BOI held in Hilo by the Paradise Roller Girls earlier this summer. BOI is a twice-annual tournament that will rotate amongst the islands to spread the love of roller derby across the isles, while allowing each league to come together in one city to bout all of the islands, instead of traveling to each major derby destination.
BOI is structured to allow each league’s A-Teams and All-Star Teams to compete against each other in tournament style brackets while allowing the newer leagues and B-Teams to gain competitive experience on the flat-track. Featured leagues include:
Paradise City Roller Girls (Hawaii Island)
Pacific Roller Derby (Oahu)
Maui Roller Girls (Maui)
Garden Island Renegade Rollerz (Kauai)
Aloha City Rollers (Oahu)
Maui Owies (Maui)
The Bizz-nass (Oahu)
BEE-Team (All island ‘B’-Team)
