The Pacific Association of Women Martial Artists is presenting its 33rd annual weekend of workshops and classes for women, teens and girls at Menlo College in Atherton. Classes will include Wing Chun Kung Fu, Bagua, Baji Quan, Judo, board breaking, Boxing, Danzan Ryu Jujitsu, advanced knife techniques, Tae Kwando, Lua, the ancient Hawaiian art of dislocation and bone breaking through the dance of Hula, Taiko drumming, and a variety of weapon classes, to name a few.
Our self defense track classes will include Parking lot and car self defense, “Cane, the ultimate weapon”, grappling for street defense, verbal self defense, empty hand defense against a knife, and escaping chokes, and practice with an instructor in a "fist suit" which allows you to really apply your punches and kicks.
All Women - Adults, Teens, Girls and Physically Challenged and welcome and encouraged to participate. Knowledge in martial arts is not a requirement in many classes. If you ever had an interest in studying a martial art, this would be a great introduction to many forms and arts. Sign up for a one-day only workshop, or join us for the entire weekend.
