Canada’s first large-scale conference of new media and social media creators makes its debut in Ottawa, Canada this June!
If you’re a media creator — Ottawa is the place to be the weekend of June 18-20, 2010.
PAB (originally Podcasters Across Borders), Canada’s first large-scale conference of new media producers, was co-founded by Bob Goyetche, Mark Blevis, Cathy Bobkowicz, and Andrea Ross in 2006. The inaugural conference was a sold out event which took place in Kingston that year and drew delegates from across Canada and the United States. It kicked off with a keynote address by the CBC’s Shelagh Rogers, featured a full day of speaking sessions and ended with a concert by two Canadian independent bands.
PAB has evolved into a social/new media conference and expanded from a one day to a three day event that includes speaking sessions, popular five-minute JOLTs, workshops, panel discussions, concerts, a boat cruise and a charity drive. The conference has flourished on a reputation of strong content and a welcoming community, attracting participants from as far away as the U. K. and South America.
