Ozomatli is an energetic blend of rock, funk, reggae and jazz. Formed in 1995 in Los Angeles, they are known both for their vocal activist viewpoints and their wide array of musical styles. In fact, back in 2010, in recognition of their activist efforts towards Los Angles, their hometown city officially declared April 23rd as "Ozomatli Day." Although their hearts are certainly dedicated to their hometown, the band also brings the multicultural block party experience of the urban Latin-American culture to audiences around the country and the world.
