Oxford Bach Choir: Tippet (A Child of our Time) and Beethoven (Eighth Symphony) March 12, 2005

The Oxford Bach Choir marks the centenary of the birth of Sir Michael Tippett with a performance of his popular choral work, A Child of our Time, whose passionate message of justice has lost none of its relevance today. This concert will be a special event, because of our conductor, Nicholas Cleobury, worked with Tippett in his later years. The concert will also include Beethoven's Eighth Symphony, a work by a composer whom Tippett greatly admired.
