Kids of all age are invited to a very special presentation at the ToonSeum featuring Owly Creator Andy Runton on Saturday June 16th at 1pm.

Owly is the breakout all-ages series of graphic novels, Owly, featuring a kind-hearted little owl who's always searching for new friends and adventure. Relying on a mixture of symbols and expressions to tell his silent stories, Andy’s work showcases both his gift for characterization and his love of birds, animals, and the outdoors. His animated and heartwarming style has made him a favorite of both fans and critics alike.

The Owly series has earned him multiple awards in the comics and graphic novel community, including the Howard E. Day Memorial Prize, the Harvey Award, two Ignatz Awards, and the 2006 Eisner Award for "Best Publication for a Younger Audience".

“Owly is a remarkable comic.” Said ToonSeum Executive Director Joe Wos. “It possesses a sincere charm and whimsy seldom seen in today’s more cynical comics. The wordless world of Owly is also a great introduction to comics for young emerging readers! We are delighted to have Andy visit us at the ToonSeum.”

Andy will be on hand at the ToonSeum for a demonstration at 1pm, followed by a book signing.

The event is included with regular admission to the ToonSeum.

Admission:
Adults/Children 13 and over $5.00
Children over 6 are $1.00

Children 5 and under are free!

The ToonSeum is located in downtown Pittsburgh’s Cultural District at 945 Liberty Avenue.
