The Project Management Institute’s (PMI®) Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification has arguably become the most well-recognized professional certification in the world and tops many industry lists in credentials improving earning potential. The PMI® also offers a family of certifications for project practitioners of all education and skill levels.

Britain’s Office of Government Commerce (OGC) developed Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL®) in the 1980’s. It started becoming popular in the US in the 2000’s. This certification is designed for IT professionals looking for best practices to align Information Technology with business practices in support of customer outcomes.
