Our State Dog, North Carolina's Plott Hound Exhibit November 17, 2009

A new exhibit featuring the only recognized dog breed from North Carolina. The Plott Hound came to the US over 250 years ago. These dogs' are legendary for their ability to chase bears and boars and are now breed and raised across the country and the world. Come hear and see how Plotts are used and raised through artifacts and photos at the Mountain Heritage Center.
