OSHA Fall Protection Program: 29 CFR 1926.500 – 503 December 4, 2012

This OSHA fall protection webinar will discuss the requirements of regulation 29 CFR 1926.500 – 503 Appendix A thru E including the need for fall protection, roles, compliance areas and the type of tools and controls required to comply with and create an acceptable fall protection program that can be implemented by companies of any size.

Why Should You Attend:
OSHA has been targeting Fall Protection in every occupation that has employees working at level 6 ft. above ground. Falls cause more employee injuries than any other accident in all venues, large and small. Trips and falls are lumped together in accident cases. Debris and other trip hazards left in hallways, stairs, and walkways can cause serious injuries. Uneven floors including broken concrete, raised sections, broken holes, warped wood and other damage to walking surfaces can cause trips resulting in serious fall injuries. When you get above the 6 ft. level, Personal Protective systems are required by OSHA regulations. Knowledge of this regulation is absolutely imperative for the protection of the employees and the bottom line for most corporations and small businesses. Even sole operation of a business requires you to have a personal knowledge of fall hazards. As a sole proprietor of a small business, you are not required to have a formal written OSHA program but injury to you will effectively stop your income and may even cause you to go out of business.
