Ornaments for Education and Bake Sale December 5, 2009

You can make a difference at the first annual Ornaments for Education and Bake Sale hosted by Scholastic Journey.

Enjoy a cup of hot cider while you browse through our collection of home-made tree ornaments and baked goods. Find unique gifts and tasty treats while giving children the opportunity to attend school. Sponsor certificates will also be available for purchase. They make a great stocking stuffer and are ideal for everyone on your list.

Scholastic Journey, is committed to assisting the children of five fishing villages and local hamlets located near Amed, Bali, Indonesia. The rural families of this region make an average monthly income of US$40.00 per month.

Many families are unable to provide their children with the supplies necessary to attend school. Items like uniforms, paper, pens, pencils, and a book bag can be costly.

Our projects focus on providing these children with the basic school supplies and uniforms that are beyond their means, enabling them to attend school.

The children in this region have a powerful desire to learn. It is our belief that every child deserves an education.
