Ornamental Trees
Shawn Walker, Urban Forestry Instructor, Casey Trees
There’s more to blooming in Washington than cherry trees. Take a walk through the National Arboretum’s dogwood, magnolia and Asian tree collections to see what other flowering options are offered. In addition to blooms, other ornamental features such as unique form and bark will be emphasized. Key identifying features and usability in home landscapes will be discussed. The walk will cover a moderate distance over uneven terrain.
