With U.S. unemployment near 10% Labor Day 2009 has new meaning.Join us for an evening of networking and $3 drink specials on Monday September 7th. All local Job Seekers and Recruiters are encouraged to join from 5 - 8 pm.

Traditionally, Labor Day recognized and rewarded Americans with a day of rest for achievements in the labor force. Now, with so many Americans out of work, the efforts will be redirected toward job seekers and laid-off professionals because in the job search process there is no day off. In spite of an economic recession which has cost millions of American’s their jobs since the end of 2007 Labor Day 2009 will be a celebration and honor to the work they’ve endured not lost.

Inspired by the “Tax Tea Party” of April 2009, national community grass-roots organization PinkSlipMixers.com and national online job board JobsDirectUSA.com and local host, employdate Job Coaching, are teaming up to host the biggest non-sponsored, non-partisan, world's largest job search networking event ever. The goal of this one day event is to encourage millions of U.S. job seekers to attend local rallies in their cities or log-in on their home computers to network with fellow Job Seekers and show America that laid-off professionals are still valuable employees.

The events will simultaneously take place in multiple cities across the U.S. from Florida to California. All supported by volunteers, each city’s event will be broadcast via live-video stream on PinkSlipMixers.com, JobsDirectUSA.com and Facebook as well as real-time micro-blogging on Twitter and LinkedIn.

employdate Job Coaching will be offering job seekers in attendance the chance to enter in a drawing for a free one-hour job coaching session!
