The Orion Ensemble concludes the season in April and May with a program featuring the premiere of Tango for Clarinet, Violin, Viola, Cello and Piano, a 15th Anniversary commission by Erling Patrick Horn. Also on the final program, Orion welcomes guest Robert Kassinger, bassist for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, who will join the ensemble on Morton Gould’s Benny’s Gig for Clarinet and Bass (1962) and Franz Schubert’s Quintet in A Major (“Trout”) for Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass and Piano, Op. Posth. 114.
