Rhinoceroses are loose in the streets. Berenger does not care. While the citizenry fails to make heads (horns) or tail out of an increasingly chaotic situation, our hero begins to realize that everybody around him is gradually changing into pachyderms. Considered by many to be Eugene Ionesco's finest play 'Rhinoceros' tracks one man's lonely efforts to hang onto his humanity, while everyone around him abandons theirs.
