Orchid Show March 20, 2008

The Garden's magnificent Orchid Show returns to the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory in February, this year for an extra week. In this unique glasshouse setting, explore an enchanting orchid garden whose beds and bowers overflow with thousands of plants in hundreds of varieties. Experience a rainbow of orchids: rich purple cattleyas; vivid blue vandas; maroon paphiopedilums; delicate white and yellow phalaenopsis; green and gold cymbidiums; and so many more. Marvel at a "fountain" of orchids tumbling into a pool, and stroll through a tropical rain forest to see them as they would grow in nature: clinging to branches of exotic trees and twining around their massive trunks.
