New York based orchestra Ensemble 212 (two-one-two) presents a spring concert featuring the World Premiere of 2012-13 Composer in Residence Daniel Felsenfeld's Bad Coffee Serenade for Violin & Chamber Orchestra with acclaimed violinist Jennifer Choi.
The program opens with a charming overture by Schubert, followed by Hummel's potpourri for viola & orchestra, based on operatic themes by Mozart and Rossini featuring Ensemble 212's core member violist Jennifer Herman.
The world premiere of Bad Coffee Serenade will be followed by Haydn's "Oxford" Symphony which will conclude the evening's festivities.
The Schubert, Hummel, and Haydn will be conducted by Conductor & Artistic Director Yoon Jae Lee and the world premiere of Bad Coffee Serenade will be led by Principal Associate Conductor Kyunghun Kim.
