Representing ingenious kaleidoscopic conceptions, supported by guitar strains inspired on the foremost indie pop preferences, Oranger qualified as an additional rock psychedelia revival band in the late '90s. Oranger's set formed in San Francisco in 1997 with Mike Drake (vocals, guitar), Jim Lindsay (drums), and Matt Harris (bass, vocals). All three had previous band experience; while Drake and Harris were a part of the set of Overwhelming Colorfast, Lindsay played with the Stick Figures. At the time, the band relied on Chad Dyer on bass, before Harris was a full-time member. The year after, the crew made their first knockout while performing at the San Francisco Noise Pop Festival. It was then that Dyer decided to leave, establishing Oranger as a trio. The Bay Area team then decided it was time to do their first recordings and as a result, Doorway to Norway, their debut album released on the Pray for Mojo label, hit the record stores still in 1998. Amazing Grease reissued the album in 1999. Around this time the band added keyboardist Patrick Main to the line-up and began recording their first album. The Quitevibrationland was issued in 2000. They switched labels for their next release, 2003's Shutdown the Sun/From the Ashes of Electric Elves was issued by Jackpine Social Club. In 2005 the group streamlined their sound and that year's New Comes and Goes on Eenie Meenie is their most focused and tuneful relase to date.

The Parker Brothers are a throwback. Their music comes from a time when you could hear the Faces played right after the Sweet while driving up Ventura Highway. When girls in tube tops on roller skates chugged Boones Farm wine while flirting with All the Young Dudes. Where melodies soared and guitars wailed in unison and everyone could have a piece of that Humble Pie. It was a time when dogs played poker and Boss Hogg always had Luke Duke by the pubes. When long walks on the beach would ultimately end at a half buried statue of liberty, next to a shirtless and screaming Charlton Heston. This was the time of the Parker Brothers. It was a time of innocence, when anything seemed possible. Long before elegantly written software, there was the smell of plastic melting in a microwave. There was Roberta and Donny singing about “Where is the Love”, while people raised their Pet Rocks. There was Me and You and a Dog named Boo all listening to the Guess Who. There were Green Grass and High Tides, Jailbreaks and everyone was cool if they made a little Bread. Before Death, Drugs and Divorce, there were The Parker Brothers. Started in the summer of 1999 in NYC, went through various line-up changes until settling on the current three-piece rock action. The band played around the Big Apple and the various outlying area, all the while recording their songs about space-born messiahs, insomnia, govt paranoia, and first dates involving being thrown down stairs.
The Blank Stares have now relocated to the beautiful city of San Francisco, Ca. where they hope to grab a few more fans who like three (possibly four) chord, melody-driven songs that you can dance and kiss to.

Howdy Orangerians, Well, we were getting a little bored racing our yachts and breedingunicorns on our unicorn ranch, so we've decided helicopter to SanFrancisco to play a show.
