Orange Mighty Trio ("bluegrassical") and Emily Zisman (acoustic folk) July 31, 2009

The Revolution Cafe hosts local favorite Emily Zisman and touring instrumental prodigies Orange Mighty Trio on Friday July 31st.

OMT self-describes their music as "bluegrassical": Take one part Bluegrass fiddling and combine with Classical technique and compositional chops, add a range of improvisation, especially Jazz flavor, and you might get a recipe for the Orange Mighty Trio’s fresh new music.

Influenced by the Difranco/McLaughlin school of contemporary folk, Emily Zisman's dynamic voice is the vehicle for her own incredible songwriting. She's a favorite among Bay Area coffeehouses, open mics, and acoustic venues, and will be performing with her band at this show.

Both Emily and OMT have recently released albums, which will be for sale at the show.
